I use Navionics, but I run Lowrance units. If I were you, I would compare the lakes I was going to fish, and see which chip covers the most. If you have coverage on both chips, look to see which offers the"HD" lakes.

I use the Lakemaster card in my Birds. I love it.

Going to be running humming bird units. This may be a dumb question but, this is my first high dollar unit purchase. How does one figure out which lakes are covered in hd?

You should be able to go to humminbird.com and view the lakemaster section to find out the hd lakes.

I like that I can adjust my target depth ranges by the foot for when Im looking for certain depths. Doug Vahrenburg on youtube has some helpful videos on youtube for lakemaster and humminbird that may help you.

Lakemaster has 13 Tennessee lakes listed, 6 of which are HD.
