I will be hunting just south of Leoma Tennessee for the first time. Can anyone give me any idea on when the rut occurs in this area?

About ten miles south of Lawrenceburg if that helps.

Not too sure but a lot of Tenn is Thanksgiving and first couple weeks of December. Buddy would say around Petersburg muzzleloader season is magic. Hope that helps?

You want to be in the woods from around Nov. 10 thru 1st weekend on December. The last week of muzzleloader season thru Thanksgiving is when majority of rutting activity will occur.
The last 2 seasons I have had two really nice never before seen bucks show up around December 18, I am thinking that's the secondary rut.

Veterans Day is the day I used to wait for. This was the magical time of year and I assume it still is. The property I own is just north of Lawrenceburg.

November 25-December 15 if you relying on chasing. There will be a 5-7 day window it will be intense if the weather is right. Typically around the 5th.
Muzzleloader hunting scrape lines near bedding will pay off.

Last week of muzzleloader if I had to pick the best week. I’ve killed some good bucks in that area around the first of December also.

I grew up hunting in Lawrence County, but I haven’t hunted around there in over 20 years now. I still have many cousins that live in the Loretta area…the rut was always wide open on the opening of gun season (Saturday before Thanksgiving back then)
