It's under an NDA. You will know the seller when the deed gets recorded. I do know that it is none of the above-mentioned landowners. If you lost your LM lease because of the sale, then you should be able to figure it out.

I wonder if it could affect any of the WMA’s. Aren’t a good portion of those on timber land but leased by the state?

I lease from Weyerhaeuser. So far they have been reasonable on price and fair to deal with on renewals and new land postings.

Heard it was a chunk in Monroe, a chunk in Choctaw and some on the Esc/Conecuh line. Separate transactions so I would guess 3 different sellers.

RMS bought one of the Rayonier tracts we lease. Don’t know much about the timber industry but interesting how they buy land back and forth.
