He was shark fishing at Ft Morgan yesterday. Hung one, he said 10ft long or better. Faughtit for almost an hour. Had it in inside 100yds. A boat was out there watching the whole time circling around. Someone on the boat snagged his line on purpose, cut his line and drove off. Thats the sorriest crap i ever heard of anybody doing fishing.

They pulled the shark up at their boat. He saw it. Then they cut his line. Said they were fighting it while he was for a minute. They had been watching him a while.

Good 8' 10" custom cobia rod (I just so happen to have the perfect rod for it), good reel spooled with 40lb braid, 4 or 5 ounce pyramid sinker. Little casting practice and you can be knocking fist sized holes in the side of that boat. Be careful though, you hit one of the boaters with it and it'll most likely kill him.

I saw a kid at Crystal Beach Pier in the 60's put a pyramid sinker thru the hull of a private boat that ran across the end of the pier cutting off lines. Second pass the kid was ready and smoked the hull. They left.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

They didnt get it out of the water. Not all the way out as in loaded on his boat. He talked like it was flopping around at the boat when they got toit. Hes caught some 6-7ft sharks. He said it was easily 3x as big as the biggest one he has caught.

I'm not aware of a tournament going on right now. No idea why someone would do this but there are some real nut jobs in the world anymore. It seems like everybody in Baldwin County owns a boat.

Crazy situation. Seems highly unlikely just a random boat watching the fight would have enough skill to leader a 10ft shark to the side of the boat especially if the shark was still somewhat green.

Probably some guy with a wife yapping in his ear about “these shark fishers attracting sharks to the beach” and/or “that poor shark can’t break free off the line, he’s being tortured” and convinced her husband to just go cut the line after the long fight they watched. Saw a young kid at work and convinced themselves the best route was to be busybodies and ruin his day. Probably told all their friends what a great deed they had done and all about the misguided youth they straightened out
