Yep, that's me. I was trying to figure out who you were as well, but you just gave it away by mentioning the Jones Farm tour. Howdy. CD.

Yeah, I saw that pic of the bear track. Ironically, I had a neighbor out there tell me he and another guy had seen a bear. This was about a week before the track pic began making the circles. I later asked him about the track and he hadn't even heard about it. So, two unrelated incidents within a weeks time? Hmmm. I can't promise that the sighting or the track is legit, but I wouldn't doubt there could be one passing through. There were several documented in Dekalb County last year. A couple were in downtown Ft. Payne. Forty miles isn't very far for a young male dispersing into new ground.
I went down to the show yesterday, too. Too crowded to enjoy, and no deals to be found. I went to cheer on a friend shooting for the truck in the AON contest. He got down to the final four.
The bricklayer is probably having eye trouble this morning. I saw some stuff down there that would make a man go blind.
Keep them hornets buzzin. LOl. CD.

There are bears around those parts, and further northeast, and have been ...

BEAR? On Jacob's Mountain? Where? Guy said he saw it behind the blue gate on the left just before you come down the hill to our first gate. Ever noticed the small plot over in the woods about 75 yards or so off the road? There. CD.

There was a bear, or maybe 2 different bears spotted multiple times in Sardis, outside of Boaz about 6 weeks ago. That's NW Etowah county. The story and a picture taken by a guy with his cell phone was in the Sand Mtn Reporter. That's a pretty good clip from Jacobs Mtn, but there are more bears in the area than most folks realize.

I used to hunt B and G hunting club on Jacob's Mtn about 15 years ago. I once saw a large track in the mud down off of hanging tree road. Not sure what it was. It was kinda smeered in a muddy creek bed. But it was big. Not a horse though.
