I saw one in the ditch on highway 145 between wilsonville and clanton sunday afternoon at 3:30. From a distance I thought it was a dog but as I got closer I realized it was a turkey. By the time I got to him he was trotting down the side of the highway, a step or two off the pavement. It appeared that he was throughly confused and had no idea of what he should do. SOG had a world class beard, ole head was all red and warted up and I could see his spurs as I passed. In the rear view mirror I saw a car dodging him as he crossed the highway.
