Ok Jeremy I talked to our DuPont range and pasture rep about it he said the ONLY way to kill bull rush is 2 qts of 24D in the early spring which eliminates using it in clover. Sorry man but I was afraid of that. You'd have to push the GLY rate high and still probly won't get but suppression not control. Hope that helps

Just bush hog it down if it bothers you, right? It's contained by the wet area; won't grow without it. Deny the growing condition upon which it thrives. Try bottom plowing it and leveling the field next plow session and eliminate the swale it's growing in.

500,000 btu propane torch does wonders if its just a few plants and its kinda fun.

24D, is a broadleaf selective herbicide, i thought we were trying to kill a juncas grass.

Just because it's called Juncus Grass doesn't mean 24d doesn't work. The name of a weed has 0 to do with what chemical controls it.

Ok, so its considered a broadleaf? If so then he can spray with 24db, and it wont kill the clover. Is Juncas grass, its scientific name, or just what somebody started calling it.

No look 24db is no where near what 24d amine or ester is notice I showed 2 qts of 24d amine to kill it? That's a lot of 24d. 24db is the softest form of D. Bull rush is not an easy weed to kill period

Ok, i looked up bull rush, and thats not what i was talking about. The stuff, we always called it wire grass grew in damp places in a particular plot. Bull rush looks like something that would grow in a pond, like cattails. A picture of what he actually has, would help.

Yeah, I am not real sure why it is growing where it is because it is not extremely wet or it wouldn't be planted. We do have some of the wire grass stuff you are talking about but it usually gets taken care of when we do our clethodim and 24db spraying.

3 ounces of gly per gallon applied pretty heavily will kill it. It has been taking over all of my low areas this spring.

Will it not also kill the clover?
