For those of you who dont know we have a tournament out of bonners every friday night for 7pm to 2am 40.00 per boat this past friday we had 29 boats. FYI i am not the person running the tournament. i would just like to see more boats fishing it. but i can answer any questions

whats the rules? team or solo? 5 fish limit?

2 people to a boat
5 fish limit
pay 1 in 5 up to 3 places - $30 from entry to places
pay big spot and big large mouth - $5 to each from entry
follow all state laws
4oz penalty for each dead fish if you have 3 dead fish you are DQ
7pm - 2am if you are not back inside the buoys by 2am you are DQ

I been thinking about making the drive over there to fish it. I don't really know anything about fishing at night.

not much different than daytime fishing except the temp is cooler and not as many boats on the water.

Used to fish those for about 10 years. At one time there were two groups having Friday night Tournaments, but as usual someone was caught with questionable fish,in other words someone was caught pulling fish out of a submerged pet crate.
Also, 2 or 3 boats were meeting up and letting one boat weigh in the biggest 5 from the other boats etc. I would still be fishing them, but without a way to curb this kind of stuff it seems like a waste. You would be surprised what people will do for a few hundred dollars. I saw this happen several times over a 10 year period. Before livewells were being checked people were starting way before the other boats. It's hard to beat cheaters.

I've been fishing them for about 10 years as we'll but we have never had anything more than rumors about stuff like that. I think it's just people talking when they can't win.

Yeah he did. Ben stills fishes with us from time to time.

It's people like you that don't know what their talking about. Greg Toth and Dave Lundquist ,he used to work on trolling motors are the ones that initially started those Friday nighters out of Bonners .As i previously said, you don't know what your talking about. I am pretty sure I have won more of them than you. Trip Weldon and I used to work together in the late 70s with the railroad.He is the one who got me started tourny fishing.I don't give a shucks what you think, just keep donating your money.Matter of fact, how many have you won this year?

I fished when Greg ran it and I fished when Dave ran it. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. What I do know is that there has not been any proof brought to the guys running the show of people cheating. If there was they would def not be allowed back. But even if there are people cheating the people who are winning so far this year are def not cheating. I know this for a fact. IMO I don't think anyone currently fishing week to week is cheating. And how many I have won really doesn't matter.

Some of your statements may be true. I don't remember saying that anyone this year was cheating, I told you what has happened in the past. If you remember there were other tournys going on ,on Fridays also, that is one reason they were stopped. It was some of the things going on. I don't have to prove shi# to you to know what happened. Yea and it really does not matter if you you have won or not that is for sure.

I took what you said as you weren't fishing because you were concerned there was cheating going on I was just trying to reassure you and whoever else may be concerned that I don't think that is an issue.

Well, seeing as how you are that sure, I might show up this Friday or next. Does it matter if I come by boat, I live on state ramp side. It would be a lot of hassle to load boat and pull all the way to slapout. I have been fishing a lot of Friday and Sat. nights this year. I saw the blastoff last weekend, noticed there were at least 20 or more boats. Looked like most went up river.My wife usually fishes with me, but if she can't or won't, I might have to solo , I have won a few doing that anyway.Have not been catching a lot lately, but several 4-5 pounders in the last month. I caught one up here 3 or 4 years ago in one of the friday nighters fishing solo a 6 lb. 15 oz. spot. Best night i ever had by myself , just got'lucky. If i remember right , I had 19 lbs something. Send me your number and I will text you a picture of one i caught this year weighed almost 6. Nice spot.

dont see any reason you couldnt come by boat. that is some big spots there. as much as i would like to see a 6lbs spot i cant sent or receive multi media text

I dont ever seem to be able to do much on jordan in daytime. Maybe night will be different. I always seem to find a way to lose fish on jordan.

well a bad day (or night) fishing beats a good day at the house right?

I have fished many of them when Greg was running it. After I won two or three weeks in a row I was told by him face to face at the ramp "you lay lake boys are not welcome here any more, all you want to do is come take our money". I have not been back since.
