I actually enjoyed watching games when college softball first became popular. However, this sport has a major problem that turned me away very fast. Nobody wants to see the same pitcher every game. It turns a team sport into an individual accomplishment. Also, I don't mind the low scoring part, but to build the popularity, fans need more offense.

Both of these issues are accomplished with one single rule change. It's the giant elephant in the room that the sport seems to ignore for some reason. If they don't limit innings pitched, the popularity will fade as fast as it grew.
