So I got home about 3am and laid down on the couch. At 4am I get a call from the cops, my 17 year old is drinking and got his SUV stuck in the mud (runs in the family). Needless to say I was PISSED. Had to wake TC up cause I needed him to drive the vehicle so they would release Drew without a DUI. So now I'm tired, pissed and trying not to put my foot up his a$$. For the next few hours his drunk ass is cutting my grass. With scissors.....by the time he's done I'll have more plans.

Kids will be kids I guess. He needs a good lesson in drinking and driving before he or someone else gets hurt or killed though. Hopefully today's therapy will help him remember next time. Wth was he doing out at 4am? I mean besides drinking and getting stuck?

There's not much else to do at 4am. Hes losing his truck but his hard headed ass probably still won't learn.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

At 17 I had a 11:30 curfew. Dad always said there was nothing to do after midnight but get in trouble. Of course II could get in trouble before midnight to. The only time I didn't have a curfew was if I was fishing.

man i like that punishment. when i was his age and we were drinking we kept it all in the woods where no cops could get to us if they wanted to. of course that was when they all had crown vics and a cop in a suv was unheard of.

Hell no. His curfew is 12 if he goes out but last night he lied about spending the night out.

What is his next job going to be?
Growing up on a dairy farm my brother and I NEVER had a curfew, but when my dad went to the barn at 4:30 am you best be there. One July we were harvesting wheat and it was hot and humid. Some buddies brought my brother home at 4:15am pretty liquored up. My brother and I pretty much split the daily chores which were many on top of all the seasonal work. Easiest day I ever had on the farm.....my brother not so much....dad worked him extra hard that day....the hotter and dirtier the job the better. I actually started to feel sorry for him by evening. My dad never said a single word about him being drunk but my brother got the message loud and clear.....I did too!!!
Send him with Daniel for a week!!!

For the next few hours his drunk ass is cutting my grass
With scissors..... As a father, you rock ... couldn't have done it better myself
I don't want to pass quietly into the night. I want to slide in sideways kickin and screamin. Life really is awesome ... Soak it up while you can ...

I have been there and done that with my son! Not fun at all but maybe its a lesson learned for him! My son wrecked down a dirt road and was so drunk he didn't know how to tell us where he was. All he knew was he had wrecked and was on a dirt road!

The fact that he is doing what you tell him to do, says enough about both you and him that I have high hopes and confidence for his future. You will just have to keep a close eye on him and make sure he isn't hanging with a bad crowd. We've all done stupid stuff. I don't think I got any sense until I was 30.
