Hey Bill, google major leaguer's trying to hit fast pitch softball and see for yourself. Reaction time is faster for those boys plus the angle that the ball approaches the batter is different. It presents a challenge for them.
Apples and oranges. Put the girls in the box against a major league pitcher and they won't get the ball out of the infield if they hit it at all, no matter how much practice you give them. On the flip side you take an male, average juco hitter and give him a few days practicing against the college girls pitchers and he'd be killing them. I didn't say they weren't good, for girls, but no female athlete can perform at the level a male can. It's not a knock on them it's just strength, speed and agility is very different between men and women.
As an example, I knew a juco all american female point guard. I had a friend that was a good player but not college level material but he was a good highschool player. She got to talking trash one day and they played one on one. He beat her 24-0. She was a great women's player, just no match for a decent male player.
