Uh, your wrong. I think the number is 7 full scholarships that is divided among the players. The rest is usually made up with other financial aid.


12 full athletic scholarships for D1 softball. Total roster at Bama of 18. Then there's the caveat of "Assistance to academically gifted student athletes can generally be exempted from counting as athletically based assistance only if the student athlete meets certain grade and/or test score criteria established by the various associations."

I doubt any of those 18 gals on Bama's roster are paying anything.
