I have the older style without out the level system. As I stated they are different than any other climber. Once you learn how to use them you won't have issues. I've climbed 1000's trees and not had a slip. Once you get settled in you must use the strap on the set part. And on the stand part just a few small mounces will set and lock it in. The only downside I found was the seat is not comfortable for long sits. I fixed that on my baby litebi added a hunt comfort seat and on my brute I replaced with a summit seat.. It packs lite and small. I bought my baby lite from Bruce the owner at the Harrisburg outdoor show in 2000.
