Nope just know the product well. Just comments made that are not true.
Hope you aren't referring to me. I know that mine has slipped on hardwood trees because I was the guy in it when its happened. ;
The adjuster on the cable is nice, but its essential because there is so little angle built into them. You can set mine up on a tree at the steepest angle possible, but then it will be pointing down by the time I'm 10' high. Level it with the adjuster and I can keep climbing. The nice thing is that its possible to get it exactly level when you get to where you wanta go. The seat as not as comfortable as some other climbers, but that's part of the price you pay for light weight.
But the small angle between the base and the section that contains the strap that goes around the tree makes it more prone to sliding than a stand that has a bigger angle. You gotta give up something to keep the weight down, and part of the compromise is less of an angle. Just recognize that its there and be careful of the kind of tree you climb and the stand certainly has its uses. JMHO, but based on 10 years experience of climbing trees in one.
