I agree about spread being air and wish B&C never used spread, but at the end of the day right, wrong or indifferent, B&C/ P&Y are what 95% of hunters are referring to when they talk about what a deer scores, so in my book all other systems are irrelevant.

For what it's worth if I would have had anything to do with B&C scoring system I would have eliminated spread and added in mass of the tines.

By the way, the buck I killed in Mo. this year with my bow scored 146 1/8" and had a whopping 14" spread...
