All you need is a normally accurate rifle, a good range finder, and know yer trajectories at distance. Oh, and a deer that will stand still......

Heck, I killed that deer with a 130gr NBT, so it can't be that hard.... rofl
One may not need it, but i still want it! grin The question is repeatability. Can you do it everytime. Thats why in certain situations I choose a custom rifle. Its all about choice to me. I quess thats why i own over 100 guns! I have shot deer at 503 yards with a 2.5x10x56 S&B , but i dint want to have to do it everytime! With a custom rifle it allows me to shoot as far as i can range with my Vectronix Vector 4. Well not relly 7000 yards but you get the idea. If the conditions are right, and i see the right deer , i have no problem shooting 1000 yards at a good deer! Do i need a custom rifle? Yes in some situations. Its all about choice and where you hunt. Thats why most of my ELR hunting rifles have 14 oz Jewell triggers, because thats what i like! grin
