I read that too. It was on Dogbite .org.
I have no doubt they can cause tremendous damage, Ive seen then in action against Hogs.
The CDC says there are no accurate measurements available to know how many Pit Bulls and their mixes that are counted in these fatal Dog Bite numbers exist in the US. However they go on to say that the estimates range from 2-8 million.
It should also be noted that the reason the CDC numbers differ from Dogbite.org is that Dogbite.org said their fatal pit bull attack numbers included Boxers and Boxer/Lab mixes. They never specified how many that added to the numbers.
