Ran 4.1 forties per an assistant s@c coach.

Hand timed, but blazing none the less.

They were probably running from one of those trailer park/apartment parties they have over there. The sound of bullets flying by your head will make a fella run pretty fast.

Very fast times though.

That's about what Oregon was reporting for DeAnthony Thomas the past three years as well. He ran a 4.5 at the combine. Always safe to add about .2 to hand timed runs.

Fast, nonetheless.

4.1 is really hard for me to believe especially for Coates. Them boys can move though.

It is amazing that bama let Grant leave. He is poised to have a huge year.

Cory Grant did not fit the mold of a Bama running back and was down the depth chart. Grant is a much better fit for Malzhans offense and will be much better off individually in Malzhans offense than Bama,s offense.

You use the talent you have. Gus doesn't force an offense on players. He plays to the talent of his players. Grant will burn some ass with his speed this year as Gus will get him the ball in space.

He's tough too but the larger backs will work their magic b/w the tackles.

It's going to be a good year.

At least Auburn's players don't beat up Auburn students and take their check cards!

Seems like Bo ran something like a 4.12 (Maybe a 4.18) at a combine, and that was supposedly the fastest ever.

It was a 4.24 I think, and hand timed. Can add about .2 to that. Still very fast for a man of his size.

so not one but two players ran a time of 4.1 which would make them top times ever recorded? Tre mason was faster than grant so dont think those times are true. bo jaskson had a 4.1 and thats smoking for a guy as big as he was. bet they dont run a time anywhere close to a 4.1 when timed by someone other than an aub coach.

Regardless of how they were timed, when someone stops the watch at 4.1 whatever, that's scalding. Cory is great when he gets the ball on reverses or gets the ball quickly in the flats. If he burns Bama this year it was because Burton Burns coached him well. Your welcome boogs. grin

I don't understand why anybody would want to put any credence to a hand timed 40. Spend a few dollars and get a laser timer for the team or borrow one from the track team and give accurate provable time if you are going to give times on players. I doubt either one would touch a 4.1 laser timed 40.
