If cooking 15 concession flash-frozen hamburger patties quickly is your ultimate goal in grilling (ie...your decision-maker), then a ceramic grill is not for you. Might as well buy a cheapo gas grill where your burgers taste like a concession stand's.

I have the Jumbo BGE and I have no regrets. I can cook a large enough quantity of chicken, ribs or steak to basically feed an army. For the money, I would do the same thing again if given the chance. I can cook a 2" thick steak Medium Rare in 4 minutes. I can get 8 racks of ribs without cutting them down and without using the extension rack. Just lock two ribracks together and feed the entire group.

I have a big green egg XL for home and kamado joe for camp would not take nothing for either both are fabulous

only thing I don't like is my kj at camp on a nest which my bge is in a table the table will spoil you

I've seen a Browning ceramic grill in Bass Pro that is identical to a BGE for $499,I don't know what kind of warranty and accessories it has but it looks to be pretty nice
