Im buying tires soon and wanted some opinions on AT's. Im either going to get the terra grappler or the TA/KO. Im leaning hard towards the TA/KO. Do any of you have opinions on either one
Thanks

If you mean BFG TA, get something else. They used to be great tires, but not anymore. I don't know what they changed, but they don't last near as long as they used to.

I had Terra Grapplers on them before and they didn't wear very well.

I've had BFG AT (31's) on my Jeep and they sucked in the rain. I've had two sets of BFG Mud Terrains (33's)(the originals and the KM2's). They were both ok in the rain and dang good in the mud. I just bought a seat of Goodyear Duratrac 33x12.5-15 and so far they are the best riding tire I've owned. I can't speak for tread life as of yet, but they look good and drive very well.

Terra grapplers. Not much on the off road portion of an all terrain but great tread life and zero road noise. I had them on a tacoma for two years and little to no tread wear. Put 30 k on a set before I sold a f250 in feb of 2011and he ran them until last summer. 50k on them or more.

X2 Goodyear duratracs, I've got over 40,000 on mine and still got lots of life left and they've performed well on the hunting club muddy roads

Not to hijack the thread but does anyone know what a decent set of 285/75/16 All Terrain tires cost? I need some this size for my hunting truck. I would be willing to buy a used set in decent shape if the price is right. Is there anywhere in Birmingham that sells decent used tires at a fair price?

If you can use 245/75/16 I'll have a set with 800 miles off a new Tacoma I'm gonna sell. Dunlop ATs on steel wheels. Good, long running tires.

Yer bro needs 8 or 10 ply for his F250, these won't run the full mileage on a 3/4 ton HD, be fine on a 1/2 ton. Bout $650 tires, rims, center pieces.
