If doekiller is right, and im sure he is! What are the maxium charges for each offense. And my guestion is WHY would the Maxium offence be given to them Especaliy if they pleaded YO? This just seams AWFUL harsh for first time offenders!

This just seams AWFUL harsh for first time offenders! Unless I am wrong, the maximum fine for a YO adjudication is $1000. Judges around here rarely give fines for YO, so, I may be wrong.

Im sure you are correct Doekiller! I could see 1000 dollar fine or maybe 500 and some comunity sevice. I want say who but I KNOW someone that got hunting over corn, few years back, got small fine and 40 hrs community sevice! IM sorry but those fines the OP listed and the story just has me wondering. I dont mean to be rude but i to was young once, boys will be boy. Something does seam right here! As i said before, something is being left out, added on , or their is another unknow factor not being brought to light by someone or the other!

Sounds like the retired GW wanted to get back in the thick of things and wanted to charge somebody for something. Maybe just to feel normal again. Did they do a gun powder residue test on any of them? I'm sure they didn't. How can you be convicted by what you have told us? Ridiculous A good lawyer should be able to get this one overturned. Good luck with it all. Prayers said.

I did stupid stuff when I was younger too, but it doesn't even matter if the kids were lying, if that is all the evidence they had, or didn't have, it shouldn't have even gone to court. What you think someone did doesn't really matter in court, it's what you can prove they did, or at least should be.

Charge- hunting from Vehicle... $1209.00 Charge-hunting -public Road.....$1209.00 Charge-hunting -after dark.........$2209.00
None of the 3 have ever been in trouble before. Is this each, or do you mean split 3 ways? As in hunting- after dark.... 2209 each or 2209 devided by 3. No that is each one....

We've all done stupid stuff in our past, but I'm trying to figure out what these kids did at all. I could not have charged them with anything from the information that's been given. Something just does not add up here. Either we are not getting all of the facts or something is very wrong with the charges, fines...etc. Did the retired GW charge these kids or the deputies? Is the GW a reserve GW or a reserve deputy in the county? There was not a witness (and I've not heard of a law that was broken here to witness for that matter). What was his PC for making the stop in the first place? Hearing a shot and thinking it may be these kids? Again, something just does not add up here.

The warrant was signed by the RETIRED game warden. He is a RETIRED Game Warden and is not a Reserve Deputy in the County. He said he was walking to this truck, heard a shot and saw the truck stopped at the stop sign, waiting to make a left hand turn. He then stated that he got in his truck and followed them...

Youthful offenders get $4,600-plus, each, plus losing hunting privileges for three years after a retired GW allegedly heard a shot and saw a truck at a stop sign, followed, found a clean gun with no magazine, held them despite not having law enforcement powers, and judges agreed with him despite not seeing any evidence of anything other than his word -- allegations -- and hit them with multiple "hunting" violations?
Hell of a story. What's the case number?

I read a small part of the posts, and just quit reading out of disgust!!!... And will say - I saw the VERY SAME type HORSESHIT in Madison County - with youths!!!
And to add JP4 to the fire - SAME asshole GW that wrote the tickets - shortly thereafter - shot a doe with a bow - 30' up in a tree - on the prosecutor's (FRIEND'S!) property... THEN promptly unbuckled his safety harness and feel 30' out of the F'ing tree! Broke his back, had to have the prosecutor buddy bring in the ambulance to rescue his sorry ass... And said GW was also a Hunter Safety Instructor!
This type shucks DOES happen!

Fred - I have a question for you. From what we saw from the case above I mentioned...
A GW gets a portion of the 'proceeds' from a guilty conviction/fees for a game violation!?! True or False?

Oh I know it does happen, I think everyone just wants to believe it doesn't. Heck there was a judge in mobile a couple of years ago that was checking convicts out of jail, taking them to a private room and spanking them. There was also DNA found in the room so use your imagination on that one. He would have never been caught except he aggravated another judge by interfering in his cases and it all came out then.
