I did not want to high jack the other post on large bamboo but i have a couple acres of this large bamboo on my lease and I can't keep trespassers out of it.
Any idea what in the world they do with this stuff?
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

folks build all kinds of things with bamboo, its one of the most versatile plants on the planet.

Any idea what in the world they do with this stuff? That would have been fine to post it in my thread. This park I went to is a long time local place to go and smoke pot. I didn't know this until my daughter told me. I just stopped there to eat my lunch. The trespassers on your place may be smoking left handed cigarettes there also.

I don't know what type of bamboo this is, but it will grow anywhere. We have an old tin skin building with a concrete floor. I had not been in there for a while. I went to get a hammer one day and there was a 2 inch diameter shoot that broke up through the concrete and was almost touching the roof. The way to slow down the expansion is to stay on top of you mowing. Once you patch gets as big as you want it, just mow around it. It will still shoot, but usually is no big deal. the trouble for me came when I had multiple equipment failures and no money to fix them. By the time I got back up and running, I had to cut them out with a chain saw.
