Yeah i read a breakdown of it in an article yesterday. Says the men form from rocks to help him build the Ark and it talks about evolution and a bunch of other bs.

Supposedly the director said something like its the most non-biblical movie you will ever see about Noah, or something like that. I can't really remember. I quit reading the article after the first few sentences. The Bible clearly tells us that God will NOT be mocked. I don't plan on seeing it.

Our family went to see "Gods Not Dead" today. There were a couple of things that could have been done a little differently, but we really liked it. Would much rather give my money to that than Noah.

It's a film, not a documentary, meaning that Hollywood took the religion and God out of the movie. No shocker there. I've read nothing but bad reviews so I didn't waste money on it (theatre).

Get youtube on fire and stop wasting money at a movie theatre.

I am not big on film reviews but I might have to start. Not only did they butcher the biblical story but overall it just stunk.

Went and saw it, didnt go expecting to really have a ver batem account of genesis, but it was interesting to see how someone can interpret the bible into a movie. one interesting aspect that i found afterward, i came home and re read genesis to see what became of ham and shem. the only thing i could have done with out was the angels captured in the rock monsters, and tubal cain being a stow away on the ark. overall wasnt a bad film just a different interpratation. I hope and pray it might stir someone to go read genisis and lead them to christ. Most times noah's story is captured in more of a fairy tale way, with arks and animals and rainbows. but in reality the world he lived in was an evil wicked world so much so that God decided to wipe it clean. so there is that aspect also. I can see how noah would have thought that he would be the last of mankind on earth and that was what god had intended. That was interesting aspect as well. just my 2 cents

Scout, the writer said his goal was to write the most unbiblical movie of all time. From what I've read, he succeeded.

The rock monsters tubal cain stow away and the overall portrayel of Noah as a man who did not truely understand God's plan but had to have his family show him the true plan were the things that blew it for me. Not to mention it just was not a very well filmed movie.........something about it just did not look right.

(Disclaimer: I am not making a biblically provable point with this remark)

I heard a lecturer once remark that it is at least plausible that many witnesses to the ark had never seen it rain. It wasn't JUST that people didn't believe a flood was coming, they actually couldn't even postulate rain.
But I interject that rain was only part of the cause of the flood. "The fountains of the deep burst forth" (water captured beneath earth's crust). Heard that same lecturer say that whatever would have been catastrophic enough to do that also collapsed a protective layer of water held in the atmosphere, which then allowed UV rays to reach earth. Sound outlandish? Well, read through the genealogies in Genesis and look at the life spans AFTER the flood. (In particular, look at Peleg) Pre-flood people were living hundreds of years. Post-flood that cut in half, and went down from there.
Anyway, I'm just rambling now...I tend to teach from an Apologetics angle, it interests me.

I haven't been in a theater in 25 years and part of that time I had free passes to Cobb theaters. I despise Hollywood.
