Anyone have experience with them? How do they effect the quality of the ride? Just bought a new truck and like the look of it being leveled but don't want the ride to be rough. Thanks for input. It's a ford by the way haha

Bilstein 5100 adjustable fronts. They are adjustable at 0, 7/8", 1 3/4", 2 1/2". They are shocks with a snap ring and 4 groves, your bottom spring plate sits on the snap ring. The shock is about 1" longer than stock for the longer travel, plus they don't put your A arms in as much a bind. Way better than lift blocks on top of your springs. Plus you get a set of the finest shocks made out of the deal. I've done both. Just had a set of 5100 adjustables put on my new Tacoma yesterday set at 1 3/4", leveled it perfect.
Set of 5100s to my door was $212, install with front end alignment was another $150.

if it needed a leveling kit we already knew it was a ford......
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

have a 3 inch leveling kit on my silverado, it made the ride noticeably bumpier but that is due to the shocks that came with mine. get a good quality one like a rough country and you shouldnt have this problem. They make the trucks look dang good though

Troy I haven't done anything dumb lately to let you bust my chops so I knew it was coming haha! Glad to know you still love me! I may get around to putting one on this slug of a ford I have. At least it will look better when it is stuck on wet grass or an oil spill in a parking lot.

I bought a 2" rough country for my stock silverado. Haven't noticed any difference in the ride. Cost about $50-$55 to my door. I paid a tire shop to put it on for $150. The tire shop said they wouldn't install anything but rough country.

I had a 2.5" rough country leveling kit put on my 2013 F150 yesterday. The ride is a little stiffer but nothing major. I have a friend that works for a distributor. He got me the leveling kit for $75 and the mechanic that we use at work installed it and done the front end alignment for $120. Looks much better!

Not to hi-jack this thread but im looking for a leveling kit for my Chevy 1500 also. Rough Country shows a leveling kit for $200, or "torsion keys" for $100. You just need keys to lift the front to 'level it'. Stock shocks will work.

Ill say it one last time....
TURN YOUR STOCK KEYS THEY DO THE SAME THING FOR FREE.
Aftermarket keys are a waste of $$ and put your suspension geometry in a severe bind. You can get up to 2" by turning stock torsion bar keys but its best to only go about half way.
The above mentioned shocks are doing the same thing they are just making the ride stiffer to do it. Your ride will suffer some as well turning torsion bars but it much less stress on your front end parts than oversized keys.
Or go ahead and get keys that werent designed to go in it and best case you replace front your front end every 20K miles. Worse case you over stress your T-bars and stuff goes BOOM.

FWIW, I also bought the Rough Country hidden winch mount and added a Warn M9000. What did it do to your fuel mileage? One thing I omitted in the earlier post was the purchase of a programmer. The mileage dropped from about 18 to about 15 when the tires were changed. I bought a programmer to correct for the larger tire size and the mileage went back up to slightly over 17 mpg. I'll live with this to get the extra ground clearance and peace of mind with the winch.

What do you mean by programmer? Do you mean you adjusted the computer to compensate for the larger diameter tire?
