Been on the table for 10 years or so. Art Clarkson tried to cobble together things the first time but didn't have all the cash, so he tried to get investors ... but wanted their money without giving up the control. Doesn't work that way so the deal fell apart.
I hate it for the refuge and impact on it. If they put in buffer zones, "green" wastewater runoff filters and such, that will help. But Jamaica Bay NWR in New York is right by the airport so both definitely can co-exist.

I don't understand the Bass Pro hype. They don't hold a candle to what Cabelas has and their prices are consistently lower than BPS. Just never been impressed by BPS.

"Why do you ask"?
Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

Great, now I will have three stores that I can drive to, not find what I want, and then have to order it online.

I don't even waste my time going to BPS anymore. If I need it I order it from whoever has the best price, and have exactly what I want in a day or two.
