Not much to this story really..... I heard two birds on the limb gobble one time. Made one series of yelps and 10 minutes later he dead! They strutted up the hill right to the gun barrel spitting and drumming. Awesome hunt to start the year off. 18#, 1" sharp spurs, and a 9.5" beard. Going after his buddy in the rain in the morning I believe.

Great hunt and beautiful pic!! Nothing shows a higher respect to me of a kill, than taking time to do a tasteful pic of the animal kill and scenery. Particularly when one is hunting by himself/herself, and scrambling to get in position with the kill before the timer goes off. Tickled for ya!! Hoping to see more. God Bless, David B.

I bought a cheap tripod a few years back because I rarely have anyone to take pics for me or I am to far from home to let one bake in the sun so I usually do them all. Today was no exception..... It takes time to do it and get a few good pictures with a timer, but I enjoy every bit of the hunt from the preseason scouting to eating a bird later on in the year.
