Thanks fellas. I've been turkey hunting on my own for several years off and on and never bagged one. He was gobbling on his own. I didn't even take a turkey call in the woods but he did shock gobble at my crow call a couple of times as I was trying to pinpoint him. Can't wait until the morning!!! If he is gobbling in the same area in the morning I am going to do some very light calling and the first time he answers I will just shut up and wait.
This wont be the last stupid mistake you will make playing this game. Enjoy it and stick with it. Persistence will pay off. Good luck.
