Mine fell off 18 years ago while my hand was out of the window riding down the street. Bug hit my hand and made me shake my hand to get it off, ring flew off, heard it ding ding ding on the pavement. Hunted for an hour and found it finally. Told my wife about it a few years later grin

As stated above, my dad got his class ring hung in inside of a C-130 rear door. He jumped out and had his hand on the inside frame work of door to close it as he jumped it peeled his finger. He sat in a VA hospital with his hand in a cup of ice. He lost that finger said it could have been saved if he'd been seen quicker. He said it still itches from time to time and it ain't even there. He kept his wedding ring in his wallet, you could see the inprint in the leather.

Wore mine for 2 days during the honeymoon 19 years ago. Saw a guy get pulled off a roof while we were stripping off sheathing and when he threw a piece a nail got caught under his ring. Luckily it came loose before his finger got torn off.

I lost one putting out pine straw around plants early spring sometime ago. A few years later my grandmother was raking the pine straw and found. I had not idea what had happened to it. I prefer not wearing any rings cause I too almost lost a finger from getting it caught in machinery.

Take mine off all the time for all grades of things - especially anytime I am working on anything. Misplaced for days before. Always managed to find it. Last time was deer season - it slid under the table lamp. Figured it was gone, then saw it about a month later when I went back to deer camp.

I lost mine in a gut pile. I had gutted a doe and backed my scooter up to her. When I loaded her, I guess it slipped from my finger because if the blood and grabbing a leg to lift with.

I realized it was gone 2 days later but had no clue where I could have lost it. I finalized figured that was the only time/place I could have lost it. I went back and the coyotes have removed all sign of the guts. I took my metal detector with me and finally found it about 12' from where the guy pile had been.

Other than that, I never take mine off.
