Yep, and people fall for the financing every day...just about any boat dealer can get you in a boat for 180 monthly payments. BPS has a "deal" going on right now, starting at 3.99% financing (with approved credit) plus you get up to 20% off BPS merchandise purchases for 2 years...or you can get up to a $300 gift card. You have to read the fine print though...

Quote:
Financing starting at 3.99%. Offer available for well-qualified buyers on all new boat packages at participating dealers. Subject to credit approval; not all customers will qualify. Minimum 61-month financing term, $10,000 amount financed and minimum 20% down payment required to qualify. Limited time offer; subject to change without notice. Other financing offers available depending on credit qualifications. Monthly payments based on financing offer qualifications above and calculated before freight, prep, tax, title and license over a 144-month term. Financing offer not available in Canada.

15 years surprises me. I mean, who finances a car for 15 years? I've never heard of that, and I assume a boat is similar to a car (used often, depreciates fast, needs constant maintenance, etc). I figured it was about 5 years max like a new car.

Learn something new everyday.

A car is used daily.. It is rare for someone to use a boat daily and place the same amount of wear and tear on it as a vehicle.

Check out The Nitro's They are good boats they are Fiberglass. Saw the paper yesterday and the Z-8 I believe with a 200 on it was $28,000. They still ride good and are nice boats but not as high end as a Triton but still have some nice upgrades compared to the older 2000 models that are $15,000.

Don't settle for something you don't want or you will regret it.
There are tons of used boats on the market that are well taken care of. In 06' I bought a 20xd Bullet with Yamaha Vmax200.
New tour grade trolling motor and GPS. I paid 14K and stole it.
Book value then was still over 27K. Believe it or not I bought it at Bucks Island in southside. They had taken it in on trade
and said they had never had a Bullet and didn't want to sit on it
all winter. I've never had an issue with it. Check out BassBoatCentral.com Lots of boats for sale and some good prices.
BTW a buddy of mine bought a G3 new same month and his hull has busted 2 times already. I would say decide exactly what you want
first then start lookin... Good Luck

I'll never buy any vehicle new ever again. Let somebody else take the loss whether it be truck or boat. And buy from an individual if you can.

Steel, I'm in the market for one as well. Most of the stuff that I see that is affordable is in the 97-03 range. Im in the they depreciate to damnm fast to buy a new one. I saw a 19' Skeeter 2003 with a Yamaha 175 that was tournament rigged for 14K. This one was in Texas or I would own it.

That is a decent looking boat, Im going to try and go look at it.

Never mind....The other half is threatening mutiny if I buy a boat before I do furniture for the new house. But it looks like a decent deal, hell he may even take 11k.

Yup, I would have been all over it but I really want a dual console.
