While this season I was able to humt more than most, next season will depend, either I will be able to hunt every day if I can afford to buy a license/gas to get there, or I will only be able to hunt a very limited number of days. Personally I would like to see the season go into February.

I like your outline except the location of the line between zones. You omitted some counties (Autauga for example) just north of Montgomery that have rut dates that begin the last week of Jan and run into the first week or two of February.

then just run the north south line in the
dead geographical center of the State.
That is somewhere along the 33 degrees
latitude.

Bottom line is that ALL hunters
EVERYWHERE in America should be able
to hunt ALL phases of the rut.
Only being able to hunt
the first few days of the rut (in years
where the weather actually stays cold that is)is
ridiculous.

In all seriousness, it wouldn't bother me
to see the whole gun season not even open
until January 20th and stay open until
Feb. 10 or 14. That is all I am interested
in.

Just look at the majority of State's gun
seasons: the two week time period of their rut.
Only in Alabama is this not the case (with half
the State, most folks in the northern half are lucky
ducks).

I agree with you. I would like to see it keep opening around the 15th with a bow and just let us rifle hunt the last 2 weeks of season.

Way to long, should be a week long like some of the states up north.
