Im in the market for a boat, im considering buying new if i can get a decent deal..i looked around online today and i seen new bass boats going upwards of 50k crazy...what im wondering is how rigorous wad the financing end of the deal? I purchased a house recently and that pretty much screwed my credit up for some reason!?! Any advice on loans/financing etc would be appreciated, im hoping to find something below 15,000 with a interest rate at 5% or lower..thanks guys...oh and im looking for a bass boat, fiberglass with a 150 or bigger

in that price range i would say you would be much better off getting a brand new bass tracker and not dealing with the headache of having an older ragged out boat. just think of it, for the same money you could have a brand new aluminum boat that is under warranty and cranks every time you turn the key and has everything a fiberglass boat does or you could have a 10 year old fiberglass boat that you have to work on all the time out of your pocket plus a boat payment.

I bought a new G3 a few weeks ago but it cost more than $15000. They actually have a 3.99% interest rate going until the end of March. As for aluminum vs fiberglass, you need to decide what you want to do with the boat first. If I didn't pig hunt the delta or gig flounder I would have gotten a traditional bay boat. I also wanted a center console.

Well the last boat i had was a 21' triton bass boat, it handled good in rough water and was fast..ive never had a aluminum boat so i dont know how they would compare, im not so much worried about the speed as i am just having a solid boat that wont beat you to death, as far as my plans for the boat mainly bass fishing, running the river, catfishing etc, maybe one day get back into fishing tournaments

I got the 1860 camo. There's enough room for a family of messicans in that thing.

Aluminum is gonna beat you up sometimes but I love metal boats. Sounds like a tracker is right up your alley.

Got mine from gulf shores power sports. Check out Dixie Sporting Goods in Frisco City as well if you are interested in G3 boats.

For 15k you can get an extremely nice used in great shape Bass boat. That's the way I went. Of course not all used boats are in great shape but I just couldn't make myself drop 40k+ on a boat. Although I would like to have one of them New Phoenix's or a new Bullet. cool

Yea. Mine wasn't any where near 15k. But I guess if a man was willing to spend 15k, he may as well spend 15 more and get what he really wants with all the warranty of a new boat. Just go get a BassCat, Finance that joker for as long as you can with the smallest payments possible and trade it in every few years.

Best decision I ever made was to stop fishing. Chit, I have saved "bill gates" type money since.
