Believe it or not you can clean that up good and sand it rough, then get you some fiberglass in a kit from the parts house and make you a fiberglass patch. If you do a good job it will be years before it gives trouble.

where is it at on the boat? Hell if it's up high just plug it up... It's up real high on the side. I can get away with some sort of patch easily.

Why did you shoot a hole in your boat?
I'm sure a big bad spider got in the boat with him.
There was a cleat attached to one side with nuts and bolts. I removed it and discovered that one of them had been wollered out.

The bolts,nuts and washers.Thats your best route.Mine has 4 and no leaks in 15 years.You can get rubber washers and skip the silicone.

Bolt, nut, 2 fender washers, silicone Good inexpensive quick fix. I've got one on my boat. ^^^^^^^^Easiest and will work

I have not done so, but I have been told that you can buy a certain alloy wire that will push up a 10 foot standard lead. FWIW. I sort of like our 25' push pull rigs.  but a small spool of that stiff wire might do to fix yahoos boat with. Argon for shielding gas, but you prolly already knew that.

Fur can i get away with a 180amp mig sans spool gun to weld aluminum tubing for boat stuff.? With argon just not using a spool gun?
