Going on 21 years to a wonderful woman who loves the Lord with her whole heart and is an excellent mother, teacher and companion. We dated for 4 years through college. 25 years, more than half my life, and she still seems to like me and love me in spite of my numerous and obvious flaws and faults. Marriage isn't always easy or perfect. I'm a blessed man due to her commitment and seriousness of the marriage God designed.
Marriage is a covenant before God--that is how it was designed. It is not based on purely on emotions because emotions can and will change. Love, happiness, and contentment levels vary and change often. God had it figured out just right by basing it on a covenant. He will equip, encourage, establish, prosper, protect, strengthen, grow and bless a marriage and family that seeks first the Kingdom of God and commits itself fully to Christ.
