My parents divorced when I was 10yo in 1986. It was not good, My mom was and still is bitter and often talked badly of my father and still does at every opportunity. I never heard my father say a negative word about her. In saying that, Dad was around but not involved. We never had or developed the relationship a young son needs from his father, not to say he was a deadbeat, but I have very few memories of happy times with Dad. That is not to say he did not try, divorce changes the family dynamic and can be very difficult for children. My Dad and my relationship is one that I am determined to not repeat with my own son. BE THERE FOR YOUR CHILDREN! No matter what they ask, make your best effort to be there, Things will never replace you just simply being there!! That will always be remembered and NEVER forgotten! You and your wife may not have a future together, but your future with your children is up to you and they will need you until the day you die. Let her be the example of everything that is wrong. Be their shining example of what a dad is and should do and you will never be forgotten or an after thought. Remember the best revenge is to live a good life, full of love, laughter and seek happiness in your children and they will pay you back until your last day on this earth. You will find a lady deserving of your love, but your kids will always be deserving and needing the love that only a father can provide!
