Just got rid of a 2010 and if the new ones are like that you dont want one. my wife had it lifted with big tires and i swear it only got 10mpg it sucked! Best day was the day she sold it.two weeks before she sold it i spent 800 bucks on an oil leak and coil pack for the second time. if you do buy one and lift it you are asking for trouble and she never took it offroad ever.

IMO the last good year for wrangler was 2006. Mines a 2006 trail rated with a in-line 6. I'll never get rid of it

The 2006 was the last year for the inline 6. The 2007-11 had the new low torque engines. The 2012-up had the newer better torque engines than the 07-11. I didn't know how the newer ones compared to the inline 6s.

I have a 2012 JKU. I love it. Its my 3rd Jeep. My first was a '77 CJ-5 with a 304 v-8. I loved it too. It only ran good if I was headed to a parts store or mechanic.
Its a Jeep. They suck on gas mileage. They are Spartan vehicles that have lots of accessories you can trick it out with.
Its a lifestyle kind of vehicle. Dont buy it if thats not your lifestfyle. You can put a SALT LIFE sticker on your F150 with glass packs instead. Tammy will hear you coming a mile away and she will like the comforts of the truck cab better.
All tops leak in some way eventually. You can fix it but it will be a problem at some point.
I love it in Summer and Winter and both weeks of Spring and Fall
O God, you are my God; early will I seek you. Psalm 63:1

Doors off or top off when the weather allows, kids screaming like banshees in the back seat cuz they love it too. It most definitely is a lifestyle vehicle. You can always get a Kia if mpg is a big deal

I got a 4" skyjacker lift and 35" mikey Thompson Baja's , I am lucky to get 12 mpg but would not get rid of it for anything.

What's a "lifestyle vehicle"?
Take your kids hunting instead of hunting your kids.
I'd rather be LOST in the woods than FOUND in the city.
Drive a hybrid, I need your gas.
Your mind is your primary weapon. Never let it get rusty.

I keep hearing mpg and oversize tires in the same sentence. Yall need to realize gearing is the biggest part of a lift and tires but no one takes the time and $ to do it. Its THE most important part of a lift and tires. Stock axles are designed to just get by with stock tires let alone 35" tires. There are guys running tahoes and yukons like mine getting 18 mpg with 35" tires and have way more power too. It's all in the gearing
The crazy thing is a set of front and rear gears will run you 500 ish. Way less than a set or good tires and will pay for themselves in fuel the first year. Most stockers are a 3.42 or 3.73..look at going to a 4.10 or even 4.56 and it will be like a completely different vehicle.

What's a "lifestyle vehicle"? To daily drive a Jeep, you have to want to. Not the most comfortable ride. My 03 gets close to 20mpg with its 4.0 straight 6. Worse in the woods.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
