I don't want to hijack this thread, but... what are you guys doing with your GSP's? I have a 1 year old Brittany and am having a tough time finding any quail to work him on. Best we've done so far is stumble across a couple woodcock and a few rabbit. He seems to have good instincts and gets after it out in the field. I plan to raise a few quail this Spring/Summer so we'll have a few to work with this Fall/Winter.

You probably already know if you have a quail farm in your area you can buy some. I'd keep him in birds at least once a month and actually more since he's young. You don't need but 3-5 at a time. The next 2-3 years are going to make or break your dog. Might want to start another thread if you want more input from others, just so this thread stays on topic.
