I can't hardly contain myself...I was able to line up a handmade call from a fellow here in Missouri while I'm here, picking it up this afternoon. I'll post pics once it's in my possession...

Mash here So here's what I was looking at earlier at his house, the ones with feather below the glass are from his first Rio he killed last year in Kansas:
After shooting the breeze and getting a good lesson on generic use and the different flavors of wood and pitches I went with a slate over glass with some african wood blends that I can't pronounce much less spell:
The striker on the left (green) is diamond wood and is apparently tough as a coffin nail, the one on the right with the purple tint is rosewood and makes a purr so sweet sounding I about cried.
Scott was a heck of a nice guy, does lifetime warranty on the slate/glass, and like the gents on this forum - I support our small business owners and hobbyists-turned-pro.
