Shot my Ruger new Blackhawk today in 41Mag. Made up some loads using 15.3gr of AA #7 and Hornady 210gr XTPs. Not the hottest load but on the upper end of the spectrum.
Gun is very peppy compared to a 357 but my only issue was those crappy Ruger checkered grips. The checkering was tearing up the palm of my right hand.
Anyone else have this issue with the Ruger Blackhawks?
The same pistol in 45 Long Colt wasn't near as bad.
thanks

At one time I had Blackhawks in .38/.357/9mm and .45/.45LC. Loved the guns, loved the conversion options, could not stand the grips. Sent them on down the line.

I don't see many grip options for the newer blackhawks.. guess I can always wrap them in tape if I have to.

Try Hogue. I had the same issue with a Blackhawk 44 mag. With the new grips, it's not bad at all. Their a lot bigger and made of rubber.

Thank you for that link.. I sent them an email to see if theirs fit the "New" model blackhawks. From what I read there are the old and the new models and apparently not interchangeable.
