Quailhntr, that was an old wound. My husband actually hit him last month, but he got away. When he stepped out of the trees that day, the first thing we noticed was his white chest. Even though that really stood out, it never occurred to us that anything was different about him as he was walking through tall weeds. Last week, he stepped out and I saw the limping and all that white and knew immediately who and what he was.
ok. I figured somebody tried killing him already. Congratulations. That's a beautiful deer. No question about the full body mount I'm sure you're already planning on doing that. Don't know how true this is but I've heard stories of deer like this being sold as full body mounts and bringing HUGE paychecks. Just saying.
