i would assume that pressuring a corn pile has no different results than pressuring an acorn tree, green field, etc. said "homework and scouting" do as much pressuring as anything else, which goes right along with what Hogwild said; anyone doubting what he says, feel free to look at the pics of what he, his son, and his friends, kill..........on a regular basis. coach2 nailed it, when he said too many folks making excuses for their inability. the laziness mentioned above, is the same laziness that makes me want to drive a vehicle to my job instead of walk; it is called using your head. there are multiple ways to achieve lots of goals in life, and if you are smart enough to learn how to kill a deer over corn, which is now kind of legal, in AL; more power to you. one thing i do know, is that a dead longbearded turkey or big, dead, older age class buck deer, breeds jealousy like nothing else. i am ready for deer season to be over with, so that i can look at Hogwild's pig pictures and YEKRUT's dead turkeys.

i guesse that would be like asking how to make a vampire nocturnal.thats why they got the eyes like they do.sure you'll get a few daywalkers.and generally there younger deer.and if it wasnt like that and u could put your finger on what changes there behavior and make them more easy to pattern.then there wouldnt b any deer left because they would all have been killed off by now.its fuuny to me how people say n one breath hunting over corn makes u less of a hunter.and the next breath say how it makes them nocturnal.cant have it both ways.

I just finished reading Dr. Sheppard's book "Whitetails". According to his data it doesn't matter, 90-99% of feeding (depending on conditions) is going to be done at night regardless if its a corn pile or green patch. I know many here have read the book, for those who haven't-get it!! Don't buy that number at all, lower the human pressure lower the percentage feeding at night. It's not the corn, it's not the wide open food plots, it's not the wide open hardwood timber that causes them to be shy in daytime it's the human pressure. IE pouring a bag of corn out every day or two and hunting it day after day, shooting alot in plots, over hunting stands, not hunting smart, riding 4 wheelers all over the property, game cameras in season, and so on. I agree totally on the hunting pressure, and that's one thing he mentions in the book. He hunts each stand exactly ONE time per season. Not practical for most of us. I take alot of what he wrote to heart though, he's killed over 1000 deer and has a pile of mountable horns that's as tall as he is.

some bucks just go nocturnal regardless of hunting pressure, or lack of. Each deer is an individual and does things a little different, sometimes a LOT different.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....
