Surely not.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.

You mean they will get a slap on the wrist and probation like common criminals if this happens? whistle

You touched on a concern a few posts back. A whole new critter will be created. Your meeting with the committee will go much further in stopping rules than SB175

I still don't understand how removing the enforcement people from the DCNR will make things worse. They've had a lot of influence on getting some of the worst rules we now have in place passed.

You are asking us to educate ourselves. Well, I have done that. I understand that the commissioner will still have rule making authority that is limited to only those rules that are necessary for conservation purposes.

For example: Do you think the rules restricting possession of firearms on OUR publicly owned lands came from the wildlife division or were they recommended by the enforcement division?
Mr 49er, I respect any man who questions his Govt. Founding fathers wanted the citizens to do that, and punish them at the ballot box. Im not trying to pooh pooh anything you have said and say this with as much respect as I can but your last statement about recommendations tells me how badly you have interpreted how things go and who is for what when it comes to rules. The enforcement section has absolutely no input about anything on WMAS. WMAS are strictly wildlife sections baby.

Well, I'm not your baby, I don't even know who you are. Are you scared to tell us your real name or something? If you are, and you're employed at the DCNR, that leads me to believe there are problems with your leaders that need some work. Our government is supposed to be an open government without secrets, and no one should feel threatened when they discuss problems that need to be addressed.

I wasn't talking about just WMAs.

Forever Wild lands and all other public lands have the same gun control rule. You would think we were in New York or New Jersey with all the commissioner's gun control crap.

And btw, none of the board members, dept leaders or the commissioner are chosen at the ballot box.

Quote:
Regulations governing hunting and other conduct on Forever Wild Lands

N. Gunter Guy, Jr.

220-4-.15 Regulation of Certain Conduct On Lands Under State Lands Division Jurisdiction

(1) Except as otherwise authorized in writing by the Director of the State Lands Division, it shall be unlawful on any state-owned lands under the jurisdiction of the State Lands Division:

(a) To hunt, trap, use dogs, possess firearms, ...

(b) For any person to carry in or on a vehicle, any of the following: any firearms (including pistols) with ammunition in the magazine, breech or clip attached to firearms, or black powder weapons with primer, cap or flash powder in place, or cocked crossbows.

Try talking to the Governor about his appointees breaking the law, and his staff will turn it right back over
to the criminals at DCNR.

None? None whatsoever? At all? Ever?

Charles never asked Dalton or Tim about something? Corky never asked Tim or Allan about something? Chuck or Fred never has asked Kevin about something? None of the game wardens working in or visiting the district offices never have suggested, discussed or recommended anything in regard to the WMAs?

And Dalton, Tim, Allan and Kevin down at Shawshank never have suggested anything related to enforcement on a WMA, including firearms?

Now, now ... don't go down that path. You're intimating that Gary's crew (until he departed last November) of biologists set all policies including firearms policy on the WMAs with no input from the game wardens?

I know you don't believe that to be true.

I've been on picket lines where the DPS had a show of force. We wound up cutting up and sharing stories with them to pass the time. The only problem I had was a hot shot deputy sheriff who was bought off by the owner of one of the strip pits trying to arrest me when I hadn't done anything against the law. That didn't fly too well for him.

We're talking about the same DPS that writes tickets for seat belts not being buckled and drivers going too fast on the interstate. I've never heard any stories about jack booted thugs showing up to help them intimidate those drivers when that happens.

Come on guys. Let's keep it realistic here.

I'd say he was pretty much right Clem, the two sections have been very much different entities. And I promise you no sub Capt law enforcement section officer was ever listened to about anything pertaining to WMAs...and very little about law enforcement section rule/regs. 99% of what we advised went in the circular file.

You didn't know Charles very good if you think he asked Dalton or Tim anything...those were one way conversations at best.
