At least yall were not as stupid as me. I shot a great buck (biggest I have seen in Bama while hunting) in a clear cut. I didn't see him drop or run off so I went looking for him. I found him still kicking and I was 10 yards from him. I had the extra ammo but I didn't think he needed another round. When I got back with the ATV he was gone. Tracked him about 2 miles where he laid in a mud hole in a creek and nothing to be found from there.
Sorry about that, but dumb. I would've for sure put another one in him if for no other reason than courtesy to the animal.
