I try to have a completely different mindset when I take my kids, versus when I get serious and go by myself. They are younger than yours though (5 and 7). I try to stay out of shooting houses with them. We'll build little hide outs off field edges. They play games for a little while, but I sit there and watch them play and they love Daddy's attention over the shoulder. As it gets dark, we put up games and I always point out the sights and sounds that I want them to know about and remember. But, Daddy still needs some ME time in the woods! Awesome!
