Having hunted both, I really like both of them and it's very different hunting styles. With that said, I'll take big pines mixed with pastures and smz's every time given the choice. I guess it's just a personal preference and what you're used to.
. I have killed two turkeys in my lifetime with my back to a pine tree though.
