Logan got his first racked buck. I have to admit I did not think it was going to happen yesterday afternoon at 5:40 I had sent text to my buddies saying "another year gone by with Logan not getting his 8 point." He could have killed some small racked bucks like 6 and 7 points but wanted some thing he could be a little more proud of. I am very proud of him for showing some QDM by letting the smaller ones walk. Any way we had 8 does in the field and was about to get down but decided to look thru the scope to see if he could still see the deer good enough to kill him if a buck stepped out when all the sudden this 8 point came busting out of the pines into the field. Logan said "its him!!" because a few other members had already seen him but could not shoot him because we have a 120" rule for adults. The members were great to tell us about this deer and were excited for Logan. My thanks to them if they are reading this post! Any way he is 14 1/4" wide with 17" main beams and 3" bases. Not a monster but a monster for Logan and I am so excited for him. We are going to take this one to the taxidermist for sure!!
