Newer Bushmasters are known to have QA/QC issues. I'd go with the DPMS before I would the Bushmaster

What are you considering "inexpensive"? And, what will the rifle be used for? Just plinking, target shooting, match shooting, home defense?

Looking on Armslist around Montgomery, there are several listed for sale...
For Sale: PSA AR-15 complete 5.56 16" 1-7 or option 1-9 blackhawk ar15 $600

For Sale: NEW AR15 PSA MID LENGTH CARBINE 1in7 TWIST FLAT TOP 5.56 NATO $875

For Sale: Windham Weaponry Carbon Fiber SRC AR-15 Semi Automatic Rifle 5.56 NATO 16" $750

Me an my dad both bought one of the dpms back over a year or so ago. For the price they seem worth it to me. It was just a bone stock ar though, but it serves the purpose that I need. There's so many accessories and options for ar's nowadays that you can even make the "cheap" ones very fun and useful. Good luck

True, someone said they are like a Harley , you can ride bone stock or dress it up and trick it out.

"Why do you ask"?

Too many people spend money they don't have , on things they don't need, to impress people they don't know.
