This wasn't the deer from the bluff. Had to give up on him, I only hunt this particular spot a few times a yr. 1/2 mile straight up a mountain with no access other than the boots. We had him and two of his brothers on camera the first of November, then they vanished. Got up there today at 2:30 or so and seen a doe and fawn at 2:35. Then commenced to seeing 4 different spikes. At about 4:45 a lone doe comes in there and stayed. He came down off the top at 5:00, came in to ck the doe and I shot him at about 70 yds with my ol trusty 7 mag. 20" spread 10 pt. took me and a buddy three hrs to get him to the truck. I haven't weighed him but I'm guessing 170 or so. Aged him at 4.5. This is my son in the pic, I'm too tired to even move and I think this old boy needs to loose some weight, feels like my heart is about to fall out! May not be the biggest deer in Bama, but I have worked my butt off climbing mountains to chase him. I'm done for the yr now.

My hats off to you mountain hunters and the physical endurance it takes to get to where these big boys are. I don't know if this low lander swamp hunter could do it. I'll stop complaining about the water being up and the mud after reading you boy's post.
