I think it's still goin to be a pro style with a little tweak. Alabama has to develop a QB. I think that may be his focus.

Ticking timebomb in my opinion. However, I don't get patd millions to run a football program. I guess lets hang on for the ride and see what happens

Why would it not be a pro style offense? The teams he has been a part of still ran a pro style offense. I kinda like the hire. BTW when was the last time Tennessee came close to beating Bama.

I think Kiffin is a turkey that Saban better keep a tight leash on. College football is all about winning (see Patrino to Louisville hire) and almost nothing about ethics anymore. Just like society.

Players at USC hated him, as shown by their performance before and after is firing. Bama has had the #1 recruiting class the last four or five years, they didn't need help there, or on offense for that matter. They needed a left tackle, left guard and pass rusher. They didn't need to change the offense or defense, just plug some holes.
QB is not an issue either. AJ wasn't the best in the country as someone posted earlier. But he was exactly what Saban wants in a QB. Game manager, few pics, don't lose the game for us and let the running game beat people. The next QB is an unknown. AJ came in not as an unknown, but a slightly loose cannon. He left as one of the greatest, if not the greatest QB in Bama history.
I love Saban, but this looks like he's in a panic and over reacting to a rare loss or two. Not a good hire in my humble opinion. I remember when Tubs started doing stupid chit after the Saban hire. This looks very similar that that situation. War Eagle! and Roll Tide.

I doubt Saban will give him the keys and drastically change the offense. I would like to see Layla in T town as well...

I expect him to bring the whole program down in short time.
Looks like the reign of power is officially over. About a year ago, I expected Ellis Johnson to bring the entire Auburn program down. He hasn't been able to, for whatever reason, so there is always hope. Because Ellis Johnson is a stud defensive coordinator and his defense wasn't stellar this year either

I don't think it was a great hire but can't be any worse than some of Nusmiers play calling.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

Saban is the boss and he had Kiffin in for a 8 day interview a couple of weeks ago. If he is happy, I'm happy.. If Kiffin screws up he will be fired quicker than he fired Applewhite.
