I have been in your shoes and I can assure you when he kills his first "rack" buck he will look back and see the road he took to get it. We had to pass on several in past years but my son killed a 15 pt with a bow this year and he said he was glad he waited on the others. It's tough as a father to tell them to wait but you have to respect the landowner/lessee's rules when it's not your place and I congratulate you on doing that. This will result in many other opportunities to hunt this place more.
