Had two small bucks chase a doe down the hill right at daylight. Couldn't tell how big they were. Hoping they come back this way.

Wind is nasty. I moved to a shooting house on a powerline. Just saw the first deer of today cross about 400 yards from me. Moving late like the table indicates.

Bamahunter - what kind of set up was it for the midday hunt? We normally hunt morning or night, haven't done midday. Gonna try midday over the next few days.
Was the buck in the woods? Open area?

Hardwood bottom on edge of pine thicket, gas line separates the two. Didn't think I would get to hunt but here I am.

Au 30 06 I was on top of a semi clear hardwood ridge right on the edge of a cutover n green briar thicket and the 9 point was walking down a wide open gas line just about every mature buck I've killed was past 9
